Gobierno notifica a más beneficiarios del PAM en Totonicapán

El Presidente Alejandro Giammattei, continua su gira de trabajo por Totonicapán donde encabezó el acto de notificación de mil 175 beneficiarios del Programa de Aporte Económico del Adulto Mayor.
La administración del Presidente ha impulsado el apoyo para las personas de la tercera edad en extrema pobreza a través del fortalecimiento de dicho aporte, con la entrega de un apoyo económico mensual de 500 quetzales.
En su visita al departamento, el jefe del Ejecutivo reiteró el compromiso de seguir trabajando para que el PAM crezca y llegue a más adultos mayores.
Cobertura a nivel nacional
El PAM es ejecutado por el Ministerio de Trabajo y surge de la Ley del Programa de Aporte Económico del Adulto Mayor, Decreto Número 85-2005 y sus reformas, Decreto Número 36–2005 y Decreto Número 4-2022.
Los más de mil nuevos beneficiarios recibieron el documento que los acredita como nuevos usuarios del programa. Ellos comenzarán a cobrar desde el próximo 15 de julio la mensualidad correspondiente y a partir de agosto deberán acudir el día cinco de cada mes a cualquier agencia o caja de Banrural.
En ese sentido, las autoridades indicaron que se proyecta hacer 71 mil notificaciones. El objetivo es lograr una cobertura de 212 mil personas incorporadas al programa.
Con las mil 175 nuevas notificaciones, el Gobierno de Guatemala suma 3 mil 273 beneficiarios en Totonicapán.
